Position Statement

The Business Development Representative will find and screen potential customers who could benefit from our services. As the first line of communication with a prospect, the ideal Business  Development Representative has a strong understanding of the sales process and excels at starting new relationships and setting up the company for success. The Business Development Representative should be a quick learner who has strong communication skills and an ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way. The Business Development Representative should keep a keen focus on the FourSeasons Core Values by continuously working and operating proactively with accountability and agility; in a client-focused manner.

 Performance Objectives

  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and help engage clients in next steps.
  • Schedule and present lunch and learns for potential new clients.
  • Solicit bid invitations for projects from new sources that fit established FourSeasons criteria.
  • Solicit prequalification from clients that fit established FourSeasons criteria.

 Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with a wide variety of people each day, building relationships and networking. 2+ years of experience in sales or customer service, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Must be able to analyze information, plan, report, and research results.
  • Proficiency with Pipedrive or other CRM software.
  • Demonstrate FourSeasons, Inc Core Values both internally and externally

 Roles & Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain relationships through regular visits with potential clients and assigned professional accounts.
  • Conduct in-person visits with potential clients to collect information on the client and potential partnerships.
  • Be a champion of FourSeasons, Inc Core Values and portray a professional image to create customer goodwill and foster referrals.
  • Both individually, and as part of a team, initiate, organize, schedule, and participate in regular educational trainings, community visits, networking events, luncheons, and marketing events.
  • Provide clients with regular updates on company products, services, and developments that may impact their business.
  • Update customer relationship manager (CRM) software with notes from business development activities including but not limited to cold calls, client visits, and other client communications.
  • Develop a relationship with the potential client and introduce them to Client Relations to continue the relationship on a specific project
  • Assist Client Relations with Win Map information on potential clients.
  • Communicate no bid decisions to potential clients and pursue further opportunities.
  • Deliver bid packages for Client Relations as needed.
  • Attend Prebid walkthroughs for Client Relations as needed.

 Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay starts at $70,000 per year.
  • Monthly bonus after 1-year initial waiting period.
