About the Project

The new Health Professions Building at Austin Peay State University spans 114,600 square feet, making it the largest academic building in Austin Peay’s history and a major investment in healthcare education.

This new three-story academic building, designed for interprofessional education, establishes a foundation for healthcare excellence, featuring advanced labs, active-learning classrooms, and specialized collaborative spaces.

FourSeasons, Inc. was contracted by Cincinnati-based Messer Construction for the HVAC scope of this project.

Our scope included installing high-efficiency HVAC systems and clean-air solutions throughout the building to service classrooms, hallways, simulation labs, administrative offices, and common spaces.

The scale of this project is truly impressive, with components ranging from large air handling units, capable of generating over 90,000 CFM each, to heavy lab exhaust systems weighing more than 10,000 pounds.

Precise BIM coordination was key to installing this extensive network of pipes, valves, ducts, VAV units, and sound attenuators.

The APSU project was completed on time and within budget, with all systems successfully installed, commissioned, and operational.
