About the Project
The Weigel’s Food Commissary Project is a 110,000 square-foot food production complex located in Loudon, Tennessee, approximately 40 miles southwest of Weigel’s headquarters in Powell.
This complex was conceived as part of a strategic vision to optimize the operations of the Weigel’s Corporation. This new building features a Weigel’s Kitchen Foodservice Program, providing fresh, high-quality food options including fried chicken, pizza, and salads.
FourSeasons Inc. was contracted by National Design Build Services for the installation of HVAC and refrigeration systems, serving the offices, refrigerated areas designed for food processing, cold dock areas, and freezers.
Over eighty pieces of equipment were installed. A total of 174 tons of low-temperature refrigeration with a capacity to cool down to -20 degrees Fahrenheit.
Efficient coordination and planning were key to successfully executing this work while meeting the contractor’s quality, safety, and scheduling requirements.
The project was completed on time and within budget by June 2025, with all systems fully installed and operational.
Equipment Installed:
• 21 RefPlus condenser/evaporators – refrigeration systems
• 1 Innovative Aire dehumidifying air handling unit
• 10 Daikin rooftop packaged units
• 2 CaptiveAire kitchen hoods & associated dedicated outside air systems
• 26 Cook & CaptiveAire exhaust fans
• 3 Daikin ductless split systems
