About the Project
The Weigel’s Food Commissary Project is a 110,000 square-foot food production complex conceived as part of a strategic vision to optimize the operations of Weigel’s Corporation in the region.
This new building features a Weigel’s Kitchen Foodservice Program to provide fresh, high-quality food options, including fried chicken, pizza, and salads.
FourSeasons was contracted to install HVAC and refrigeration systems to serve food processing refrigerated areas, offices, cold dock areas, and freezers.
Over eighty pieces of equipment were installed, including 174 tons of low-temperature refrigeration capable of cooling down to -20 degrees Fahrenheit.
Efficient coordination and planning were key to delivering outstanding results despite strict time constraints, while meeting the contractor’s requirements.
This project was completed for National Design Build Services, on time and within budget, with all systems fully installed and operational.
Equipment Installed:
• 21 RefPlus condenser/evaporators – refrigeration systems
• Innovative Aire dehumidifying air handling units
• Daikin rooftop packaged units
• CaptiveAire kitchen hoods & dedicated outside air systems
• 26 Cook & CaptiveAire exhaust fans
• Daikin ductless split systems
